Chris Marshall:
Lead Vocals / Guitar
 |
Chris is a native of the bay area. Early on, his musical influence came from his father. Chris remembers many evenings sitting around listening and singing along with his father playing Folk Music on acoustic guitar.
His classic rock influence definitely came from his brother. In the late 70's, Chris has fond memories of bands like Aerosmith, AC/DC, and KISS, blasting through the walls into his room. That's all it took. He was a Rocker from then on. In the mid 80's Chris was off to college, where he excelled at both football and baseball at Menlo college and Cal Poly San Louis Obispo. |
Although at the time he was a hardcore Jock, he new someday he would be picking up a guitar and attempting to shred like Joe Perry.
Chris' first guitar was a Yamaha Acoustic, and he took weekly lessons to learn how to play. He then started playing and singing great classic rock tunes like "Can't You See", by the Marshall Tucker Band, and "Wanted Dead Or Alive", by Bon Jovi. He honed his skills by playing numerous parties and other gigs.
When some neighborhood friends approached him to play with them in a band situation, he decided to put the solo thing aside and jump into the Rock Band world. |

Since then Chris has played with several local bands and musicians that do both original and cover tunes, all in the classic rock style. He has regular rehearsals and jam sessions at his recording studio in South San Francisco.
Chris hooked up with the Rock Guardians on February of '07. The band welcomed him right in and it seemed like a perfect fit. The commitment to excellence definitely showed through when he heard them. They could flat out ROCK!!!
Some of Chris' favorite bands and musicians are: Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi... did he mention Aerosmith? |
